Denise Bean-Raymond brings 31 years of experience with horses to her riding lesson program and equine therapy practice, “Exclusive Equestrian Services.” She has competed throughout the Eastern seaboard in numerous events, and has trained with top professional hunter/jumper riders throughout her career. She has worked in a wide range of fields including barn management, riding instruction, training and alternative therapy. She is a published author, and is certified in equine sports massage therapy and equine acupressure therapy.
In addition, she is a licensed riding instructor, certified nationally with the American Riding Instructorʼs Association. A lifetime of observing horses working in various disciplines has allowed her to intuitively recognize common movement issues, confirmation flaws, and performance-related problems, and to create suitable treatment plans for them.
Ms. Bean-Raymond is the author of the globally released book titled, “The Illustrated Guide to Holistic Care for Horses”. This book has received excellent reviews from The Equine Journal, The Horsemen's Yankee Pedlar, The On-Line Radio Show Animal Talk Naturally, Equine Wellness Magazine and has been adapted as part of the Holistic Animal Nutrition Certification program at the Global College of Natural Medicine. The International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork's President Jonathan Rudinger gave this book an outstanding review as well.
Ms. Bean-Raymond is a firm believer that is vitally important to continuously educate oneself. Consequently, she avidly pursues clinics, seminars and training opportunities. She has attended numerous clinics throughout the country concerning multiple topics ranging from equine alternative therapies, to equine health issues, to equine business mechanics, to training/riding clinics offered by Grand Prix riders and judges. She is proud to announce that she is currently completing her
“Equine Nutrition” certification and consequently will be offering consultations in equine nutrition in the near future.
With respect to her current practice, Denise Bean-Raymond has attended equine massage therapy certification programs in Denver, Colorado and Round Hill, Virginia. She has completed her equine acupressure certification through the Animal Acupressure Massage Training Center based in Nevada City, California. She is currently completing her Equine Nutrition certification under the instruction of Dr. Eleanor Kellon of Equine Nutritional Solutions.
Ms. Bean-Raymond is currently a member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists, The Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals Organization, and the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork.
